For centuries, with the help of bath procedures, Russians treated almost all ailments such as colds, gout, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, skin diseases and post-traumatic syndrome, massages, etc. There is not a disease in which the bath would not have helped. It was so important that man could not ignore it. Experts say, drinking a cup of herbal tea after a sauna bath increases the activity of the heart, kidneys, stomach, intestines. You can compose the herbal tea in such a way that it will benefit the whole body or any particular sick organ.

  1. Do not bathe on an empty stomach
  2. Do not bathe after a heavy meal
  3. Before going to the sauna, ensure you eat a light snack such as a dish of vegetables or fruits
  4. Do not bathe immediately if you are under severe fatigue
  5. Do not bathe if you are not feeling well
  6. The temperature of the transition should be gradual
  7. Take a rinse before entering the steam room. Do not wash with soap and don’t soak your head
  8. If you cannot tolerate heat, ensure to wear a special hat, preferably wool, on the head. It must be moistened with cold water from time to time.
  9. After having a bath, we recommend that you take a tablespoon of mineral water, tea and infusions of medicinal herbs and tonics, and various juices. Especially useful is, salty tomato juice, which is not only a good thirst quencher, but also compensates for the loss of salts.

  2. The total time duration of the bath procedure should not exceed two hours, including rest time.

If there is discomfort such as general weakness, headache, nausea, dizziness, unsteady gait, and a burning sensation on the skin, the procedure should be stopped immediately. It is better you go to the restroom and sit there with your back against something or you lie down a little. Trying to endure the discomfort may end in heat stroke.

  1. The ingestion of alcohol before the steam is absolutely prohibited.
  2. Smoking is not recommended after the steam room.
  3. And most importantly, before starting to wellness visit to the steam room, talk with your doctor.
